2 many Wines is a wine shop and tasting room with locations on York’s popular Bishopthorpe Road in South Bank, and East Parade in Heworth.

They pride themselves on offering an exceptional customer experience through a warm welcome, attentive service and expert advice on their extensive wine selection.

Their collection of 250+ wines is updated regularly, so you’ll always be able to find something new, interesting and delicious to sample. You can either buy a bottle to take home, or drink it in for just £10 corkage. They also have a constantly changing by-the-glass list, alongside an assortment of other enticing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

The business is owned by Benjy Berluti and Cyriaque Lajoinie. Italian Benjy has a lifetime of experience running bars, so he handles the hospitality. His priority is to make sure everyone who visits is comfortable, cared for and comes back.

French Cyriaque has been immersed in the wine industry for over two decades, so he’s always searching for unique bottles from independent suppliers. They try to support smaller businesses wherever possible, and everything outside the wine – from the furniture to the coffee – they source as locally as we can.

Originally a lockdown baby, 2 many Wines started as a virtual wine-tasting experience – through their Chez Barbara club, which is still going strong today (although now in person) – and then evolved into a pop-up shop in the Gillygate Pub, before the Bishy Road site was opened in September 2021.
